Chris has been playing the piano accordion since he was 13 years old and his first paid engagement was playing in a duo when he was 17 years old.
Chris has been an accordion tutor for more than 20 years.
Chris has a wealth of experience teaching students from beginners of all ages to the more advanced accordionist looking to improve their style and technique. Part of the skills Chris offers is also to lead an aspiring student through Scottish Traditional Accordion Grades if that is what a student would like to work towards achieving.
Chris can provide lessons on a one to one basis in person or online via Zoom or Skype. He can also deliver school class tuition with higher student numbers in person or via Google Classroom.
Chris is also currently accordion tutor for the Gaelic Association – Feisean nan Gaidheal, providing tuition for students in the Nairnshire area and he has also recently provided creative music and song classes in Highland Schools for the Youth Music Initiative.
